Lets Go Aero GearDeck Enclosed Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Howdy everyone, John here. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Now this is gonna be a great choice if you need a little extra room for any of your stuff on a trip and you don't want to put it inside your vehicle itself. Now my friends and I are planning on going to Colorado during summer and we're going to be doing some car camping, so the inside of our vehicle isn't going to be able to be used for any type of cargo because we'll be sleeping there. Now the 4Runner does have raised rails but unfortunately it's a little bit finicky whenever it comes to how much roof clearance you have along with other problems. Now this is a great choice if you wanna be able to put some of your cargo maybe camping equipment and whenever we're gonna be using that we don't have to worry about it being attacked by the elements because it's going to be enclosed. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Flint Hill Goods Compact Cargo Carrier. This is a hitch mounted cargo carrier that'll fit in our two inch by two inch receiver tube and it's gonna be on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Now a cargo carrier's really nice because if you don't have enough room in your vehicle for the stuff you're carrying, you can put it outside and get that extra room, or you can get some messy stuff from the inside and get it outside so you don't get that mess in your vehicle. For me, it's really nice for going to the hardware store picking up bags of concrete mulch, topsoil, anything that has a tendency to rip and just make a mess in the vehicle, out here, it's gonna be a lot easier to clean up because you can just hose it off. more

A hitch-mounted cargo carrier is a great way to either get extra stuff packed in your vehicle by packing it outside the vehicle or just getting some of that stuff from the inside that we maybe don't want in there, whether it be bags of concrete or soil, anything messy you might get at the hardware store, messy sports equipment that you wanna keep outside, so it doesn't stink up or mess up the inside of your vehicle, you can keep it out here, because let's face it, it's a lot easier to just hose this down with some water and get it cleaned up than it is to clean up the interior of your vehicle. With this, it is an aluminum cargo carrier, which means it's very lightweight. If you wanna see more about handling it and how easily it is to put it in the hitch, you can check out our full review. Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video
The Reese Solo Cargo Carrier is gonna be a great addition to your 2015 Toyota 4Runner, so you can get a lot of that stuff from the inside of your vehicle and you can put it on the outside to make it a lot better of a ride. The more stuff that we have on these trips, the more cluttered it gets on the inside, but this is gonna be the biggest of all the ones that we have on our website, so it's gonna be 48 inches long and 32 inches wide, and we have these sides, which stick up about three inches. So with your standard sized cargo carriers, we can't fit a standard size cooler long ways like this, it takes up a lot of space whenever we have to put this on a normal sized carrier. So if you're looking for something that is gonna give you the most amount of space, the Reese Solo is gonna be the one that's gonna do it. There is something you can add onto this carrier though. Notice on that side by you, we have some bolts, two here and two on the other side. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Hi everyone, John here. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt cargo carrier on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Now, this is gonna be a great choice if you wanna take some of the stuff outta your vehicle, maybe some of the stuff off the top of your roof and put it behind you so you leave more room for other things whether it's on your roof rack or in the back your vehicle. So with my roof rack system, I'm planning on putting a single bike rack up there just so I can have a bike if I wanna go on a ride. But unfortunately that kind of leaves some of my stuff that I was planning on putting up there without a home. It's gonna be a great solution to get a little bit more space out of your 4Runner or maybe if you just don't wanna haul any dirty, muddy stuff you don't have to actually put it in the vehicle. That way you don't have to clean anything, you can just leave it out here on the cargo carrier and it's easy enough to spray off with a hose to clean it up, it's much better than cleaning your interior. Now it is aluminum, so it's lightweight, it's the one that we really like around here. Test fitted all the time, because it's light it's easy to get off that shelf and carry over here. more

It's gonna be a great option to either expand on what you've got in your vehicle. Or instead of keeping it all in there, you can keep it out here and keep more leg room for everybody and all your passengers. Another option would be if you have dirty gear you're hauling maybe it's muddy, full of sand, you're coming back from the beach, or just smelly sports equipment. You can store it out here, outside the vehicle that way you can get in there and clean it and vacuum it's much easier to just spray this off with a hose and leave it outside than it is to clean the interior of your vehicle. It's gonna be made of a black powder coat steel it's gonna be nice and sturdy. more

Now right away I'd like to point out that this can also be in addition to the Hollywood Racks' Sport Rider SE2. This actually plugs into the back of that 2-bike rack, allowing you to carry two bikes and cargo. That part number of that bike rack is: HR1450Z.Let's go ahead and give you some dimensions. The inside dimensions are: 52 and a 1/2 inches long by 15 and 9/16ths of an inch wide, and it's 5 inches deep.As you can see, it's a basket-style design. Now this is designed to work with two inch hitches only, and has a weight capacity of five hundred pounds. The first thing we're going to do is start off with a few measurements, ground clearance being first. We're going to have about nineteen inches, that is because we have a raised shank in the back, which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. Today, on this 2012 Toyota Forerunner, we're going to be test fitting the 20x48 Curt cargo carrier, part number C18110. This has a 300 pound carrying capacity, and you see, look at the bottom, here, has this nice, mesh floor, which makes it a lot easier to clean. Around the borders, here, we have these tie down points, which you can use for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords, to tie up whatever it is you may be hauling. Im going to give you a couple measurements, now, the first, being how much distance is added to the vehicle once the cargo carriers installed. Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2010 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2010 Toyota 4Runner, we are test-fitting our Car Pod Walled Folding Cargo Carrier with dimensions of 23 by 47, with a 450-pound limit on there. At first I'm going to show you guys how you fold everything down. As you can see, there is a provided strap here. All you're going to do, I just tucked it in, we're just going to untuck it, push down on this little lever here, and pull the strap out, and set that off to the side because you will need it whenever you have it folded down. These pins here in the corners, they are provided as well. You just pull them up and it releases the caging and you just fold one side down, at least as far as you can right now. You pull out the other two pins, on each side, and they'll fold back down. more

Today on our 2010 Toyota 4Runner, we're testing the Curt Cargo Carrier, 20x60, five hundred pound limit cargo carrier. Now, as you can see, it already is connected to our vehicle, we're going to go ahead and do some measurements here. From the ground to the lowest point on the cargo carrier, this is going to be our ground clearance. Got about eighteen and a half inches before it hits the ground on anything. Our overall . and you got seventeen and a half inches there. And from the back of the vehicle to the first point that might hit the cargo carrier, it's going to be about sixteen and a half inches there. Now while we're down here, we can look and see that we do have a pin and clip holding in the cargo carrier. more

We've got our ground clearance, we're going to go to this little point right here, and we've got about 17" there before anything will to hit the ground. Overall, it's going to be about 45" there. Lets Go Aero Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Female: Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we are going to be test fitting our Let's Go Aero gear case. A 32 by 48 cargo carrier, which is designated for a 2 inch hitch and carries up to 300 pounds. The part number is HCR222. Now if we start off with some measurements, from the ground to our lowest point, which is actually right up under here, we're going to have about 18 inches before it hits the ground. From the rear of the vehicle overall we're going to have about 41 and 1/4 inches. Coming down here, to the closest point, I'm going to have about 11 inches before it will hit the back of your vehicle. While we're down here, you can see that we do have an anti-rattle bolt, sorry pin and clip. That will help keep the cargo carrier connected to your vehicle stable, unlike some other cargo carriers, which will let it kind of shake a little bit with the regular pin and clip. Now this cargo carrier is just a sealed bottom, and you won't be able to have any dirt falling through, but no dirt's going to come up underneath there either. more

Today, on our 2007 Toyota 4Runner, we'll be test fitting the Curt 20 x 60 Folding Cargo Carrier part number C18132. To begin our test-fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the receiver tube. Align the pin hole, slide the pin through the pin hole and secure with the clip. Now, lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and this vehicle will fit together. With the cargo carrier folded up, there's about 15 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about four inches. more

Today, on our 2007 Toyota 4Runner, we'll be test fitting the Curt 20 x 60 Folding Aluminum Cargo Carrier, part number C18100. To begin our test-fit, slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch tube. Align the pinhole, slide the pin through the pinhole and secure with the clip. Now, lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and the vehicle fit together. With the cargo carrier folded up, we have about 13 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about 5 1/2 inches. more

Now, let's go over some clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and the vehicle fit together. There's about 14 inches of ground clearance from the rear of the carrier. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about six inches. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle's exhaust tip is about 10 inches. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2007 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2007 Toyota 4 Runner well be test fitting the Curt 20 by 48 cargo carrier, part number C18145. To begin our test fit slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch tube and align the threaded pin hole. Thread the anti-rattle bolt through the threaded pin hole and tighten with a wrench. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the cargo carrier and the vehicle fit together. There is about 15 inches of ground clearance to the rear of the carrier. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about six inches. more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner, we'll be test fitting the Surco 24x60 Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 52018. Now to begin our test fit, we'll slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install our hitch pin. With the pin in, we can put the clip on the other side which will secure the cargo carrier to the vehicle. We'll now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches and this cargo carrier will add an additional 31 inches of overall length to the vehicle. Our ground clearance at the back of the carrier is 16-1/4 inches and the exhaust on this vehicle does exit the passenger's side here at the rear bumper. more

Today on our 2012 Toyota 4Runner well be test fitting the 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches rated at 500 lbs from Curt part number C18132. Now to begin our test fit well slide the cargo carrier shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole and install our hitch pin. Well then put the clip on the other side which will secure our cargo carrier to the vehicle. With our cargo carrier in the stored position well go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at the cargo carrier is 16-1/4 inches and from the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle in the stored position is 3 inches. Well now go ahead and pull the pin here at the base of the cargo carrier and bring the cargo carrier platform down. more

With our bolt tight, our cargo carrier is secured to the vehicle. Well now go ahead and give you a few measurements. From the closest point of our cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches. Our cargo carrier will add an additional 25 inches of overall length to the vehicle. more
